The revolutionary George Fox and his rebel saints against immanence and immanent values weren’t exactly saintly, protestant leniency toward their own actions must have started early on: the wanted freedom from ignorance and need for real information and direct intelligence bread violence which has never ended. The wanted decency in mercy and the loss of grace in this concept of righteousness isn’t as surprising as many wish it were. These rebellious saints became puritans, to punish the perceptions of the purist in the witches, to punish themselves. Purity without mercy is quoted as being one of the most dangerous mistakes in the human heart: Pope Francis in declaration of the year of mercy knew this danger. We have been warned, Young Goodman Browne, (Nathaniel Hawthorne) of these intensities of puritans and the realities of who could actually be out in the woods, the reality of sinners and the idea of purification of something which cannot be purified…Evil nature and the wanted direction beyond it, the paradises lost (Milton)and the figures of unrest in portents, (Batman, Bearde, Crouch) the values of morale and the distinctions in suspicion and superstition. The etiquette in purity and that which has been set apart or above, these differences in presence and the jurisprudence of faith in testing without meaning to. The values left behind or those which should be upheld, these ancestors of mine once kicked out of puritan communities for drunkenness in the East, out West built community churches…
