The Ghosts Said It Better

Something else to say read diligently and left

No daylight or air

No easy breeze to lift

Nor nearby wind to scare nowhere places

Full of promise and potential

Waited out the fierce

Angles, iron works reaching

To the highest points of horizon

To the lowest depths worth searching

Still patience beyond

Breathes in heavy sighing

In differences in breathing

Air deep enough to extinguish fire

Air high enough to scare away a bird

Winds convinced they could blow

A house apart or a structure together

voiceless presence, these ghosts

So tamed to wilderness, to jungle

To the way things must be

Or could be

These living pasts worth missing in a blink

These sprawling out importance

In height and reach

The loudest voices

Were never our own!
